About the Panel

  • Jason Nemoy

    Partner, Practice Director - Human Resources at Chesapeake Search Partners

    A former HR practitioner of 20+ years and past President of the Chesapeake HR Association (CHRA), Jason Nemoy established and leads the HR Recruiting & Consulting Practice for Chesapeake Search Partners (CSP) located in Towson, MD.

    Prior to CSP, Jason was head of recruiting for California Pizza Kitchen restaurants and then held various executive HR leadership roles in the fitness, hospitality, healthcare and distribution industries. A true “generalist”, he has touched all facets of HR.

    Jason graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He completed the Professional HR Certification Program from UCLA in 1999 and earned his MS in HR Development from Towson University in 2010.

  • Sarah Sheckells

    Senior Director of Human Resources at Alera Group

    Sarah is a senior human resources practitioner with experience in building HR infrastructure, transforming culture, and increasing employee engagement by creating and implementing talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies. Her demonstrated HR knowledge covers all aspects of the field including benefits and 401(k) administration, diversity and inclusion, organizational development, leadership coaching, training facilitation, compensation analysis, performance management, employee relations, and recruiting.

    Over her 26 years within the financial services and insurance industries, Sarah has worked as a compensation analyst, trainer, recruiter, generalist, and HR manager while supporting multiple business lines including trading, finance, technology, risk, legal and compliance, sales, and marketing. Within her portfolio of experience, she has been responsible for the strategy and execution of wellness and inclusion programming and has operated as the senior HR advisor and executive coach to executive leadership on organizational change and employment matters. Sarah is also a regular panelist and speaker on topics like interviewing and selection strategies, coaching and professional branding, and leadership development.

  • Kelly Harrison

    Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor at Brown Advisory

    Kelly has 10+ years of corporate recruiting experience primarily within financial services and currently works as a Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor at Brown Advisory.

    In this role, she collaborates with internal teams regarding their hiring needs and leads full cycle recruiting efforts to ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience.

    Prior to Brown Advisory, Kelly spent several years working in campus recruiting at Morgan Stanley in Baltimore. Kelly graduated with a B.S. in marketing from Virginia Tech in 2011.
