Connected: How to Become an Effective Communicator @ Work

What if you could learn how to enhance how you communicate, making it more likely that you will be heard, others will listen, and you will earn trust and respect from your colleagues? Communication is at the root of healthy and strong relationships, so if we want to improve engagement, retention, and performance at work, we need to start at the root and learn how to communicate more effectively. In this session, you will:

  1. Learn the three key elements of communication and how each affects the messages we send
  2. Explore sender / receiver roles and responsibility, so you can listen more effectively and communicate in a way that others will hear
  3. Discover the core components of and practice empathetic listening
  4. Identify a simple 4-part process to bring “awesomesauce feedback” back to your organization
  5. Practice a three-step process for delivering feedback, confronting others and sharing recognition
  6. Connect with peers and explore their best practices for communication
