Beating Burnout: From “Fried” to Flourishing

As HR professionals, we put a great deal of time and energy into our work. We care about what we do and the impact it has, so we pour ourselves into our jobs. Yet, we often forget the importance of investing in and taking care of ourselves, so we can continue to perform at a high level and have a sense of balance between life within and outside of work. The pressure to perform and to be “on” can take a toll on our health and wellbeing and compromise our ability to perform at our best. We ignore our body and the signals it sends us to slow down and recharge, which makes us more prone to illness and even burnout.

What would it look like if we approached our work and life differently? What would life look like if we took a proactive approach to investing in our health and wellbeing and making self-care a priority? We cannot serve from an empty vessel. We must intentionally design our lives instead of letting it happen by default. In this session, we’ll embrace parts of ourselves and our lives that deserve some attention and care and explore the business case and practical strategies for beating burnout at work. Join us for this inspiring and engaging session and feel empowered to design and balance your life.
